Hello and welcome..!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Susan Blow, but you can call me Sue!
I am a local Photographer based on the Isle of Wight specialising in Lifestyle & Wedding Photography.
I have a Diploma in Professional Photography having studied with The Photography Institute, Covent Garden.
I am married to Jon and have two grown up sons in their 30s and four grandchildren.
I consider myself to be very friendly, approachable and caring with a good sense of humour!
I have had a passion for photography ever since I was a little girl - and that's a pretty long time!
I was given my first Kodak Instamatic camera at the age of 8 by my Nanna who was a keen amateur photographer.
She left me a fantastic legacy - her vast knowledge!
At 8 years old I didn't appreciate how valuable that knowledge would be to me now.
I also owe so much to my Uncle Tony who, like my Nanna, was a keen hobbyist photographer.
His legacy was the gift of all his camera equipment without which I could not have completed my diploma, so for that I am eternally grateful. I hope if they're looking down on me, they'd be proud of what I have achieved.
I like to make all my clients feel as relaxed as possible in front of the camera.
I believe this is the key to beautiful, natural looking photographs which show the love and emotion of every moment I capture.
Like I said on my home page, I don't just capture what it looks like, I capture what it feels like!
I shoot in a natural, relaxed and candid style. The picture of a little girl bending down to pick a flower, for example, or the little boy playing peek-a-boo! These are the type of 'candid' shots that are often the best of all - totally random, unplanned and oozing with cuteness.
In my experience, children often get bored in front of the camera or decide they don't want to smile on the day.
This is fine by me - I can get some really happy memories with them just doing what they do (whether it be laughing, playing etc),
those candid shots are great! As for you grown ups, I have ways of making you smile too!
For wedding bookings, I will always arrange to meet with you (perhaps over a coffee...) for a free 'no obligation' chat.
That way we can get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere and discuss your exact requirements.
You can then decide whether you're happy with my approach and style prior to your booking.
I do hope you enjoy looking through my portfolio and if you have any questions, please call, text or email me.
I also have a Facebook page 'Susan B Photography' so please feel free to head over and give me a like or send me a message.
