DO YOU TRAVEL ?
At the moment, I only cover the Isle of Wight. I will travel to any location on the Island whether outdoors or indoors. The price you pay for the photo shoot also includes my travelling costs to and from the location.
DO WE NEED TO MEET UP BEFORE THE PHOTO SHOOT?
No, not necessarily. However, I would be happy to meet with you beforehand if you wish. Normally, I just meet you at the location on the day, especially if you are having an outdoor 30 minute shoot. If you are having an indoor shoot, I am more than happy to arrive a bit earlier and have a chat first to put you at ease, although usually the indoor photo shoots would be at your home where hopefully you'd already be relaxed! I'm easy-going and my style of shooting is natural and relaxed so there is nothing to worry about.
DO YOU HAVE ANY QUALIFICATIONS?
Yes, I hold a Diploma of Professional Photography which I completed with The Photography Institute in Covent Garden, London. You can rest assured that I hold the skills, talent and technical knowledge to capture the very best photos that I can of you and your loved ones. My diploma is available to view on request.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes. I am fully insured with both Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance. A copy of my certificate is available upon request.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY ON THE DAY AND YOU CANNOT MAKE IT?
In the unlikely event of an emergency occurring (eg illness, accident etc) I will re-arrange another mutually convenient booking for you. As a concession, I will give you an extra 30 minutes added on to the pre-booked shoot. If this is not satisfactory to you, a full refund will be given.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
I will upload all your final images to a private online gallery which will be password-protected. Nobody else will be able to see these photos unless you want them to (apart from the cover photo, which will be public). You can share this link with your family and friends and you will also be able to download them yourself with full printing rights. At quiet times, I should be able to get them downloaded within 1 week (to allow for the editing process). At peak times, however, it could be up to 2 weeks or more. I will always send you a 'sneak preview' of 1 or 2 images beforehand.
DO YOU INCLUDE ANY PRINTS?
For the 30 minute photoshoot, I usually just provide 15 images on a password protected, private online gallery. It is fairly easy (and probably more cost effective to you!) to either print them yourselves to your specific requirements or go to a supplier who will do it for you. However, for the 1 hour long shoot, as well as your 30 images provided on a private online gallery, I will also provide you with an A4 mounted print of your choice. If you wish to have any further images enlarged, or put onto canvas, I can certainly assist with that but would need to get the payment in advance for this service.
WHEN DO WE PAY FOR OUR PHOTO SHOOT?
I require a 20% non-refundable deposit when you book to secure your booking. The balance is to be paid 2 days prior to the shoot itself, or before if you prefer. For 30 minute photo shoots, the deposit is just £10 and for the 1 hour sessions, the deposit is £15
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
As a general rule, I don't like to tell clients what to wear! However, in my experience, I have found that shirts with very small check or stripes etc don't really like the camera and the images can sometimes be spoilt just by this one minor detail. Also motifs on t-shirts don't often work too well either. I know everybody is individual and should be free to wear exactly what they like but I find plain co-ordinating colours work best, as opposed to patterns. At the end of the day, the choice is yours and this is just a friendly suggestion.
